If accepted on a full-time program we will issue you with a Conditional Acceptance Letter. Upon receipt full tuition fees should be paid to the College bank account and an ‘Acceptance Letter’ will be issued for your visa application. Cheques and banker's drafts must be made payable to Infinity Business College. Visa applications should be made to the Irish Embassy or Consulate in or accredited to the country in which you normally reside. If there is no Irish Embassy of Consulate in your country of permanent residence or home state, you may make the application at your nearest Irish Embassy or Consulate. Overseas StudentsThe following information is intended primarily for International students coming to Ireland for the first time. Arrival in IrelandBe sure to carry on your person the Acceptance Letter and also evidence of financial support or sponsorship, as the Immigration Officer at your port of entry may wish to see them. You should also bring sufficient cash or travel cheques in euros or in dollars to meet your expenses on arrival, such as transport, meals and temporary accommodation (say €500 in cash and a supply of traveller’s cheques). Immigration RegulationsOnce you have been allowed into the country ensure you understand the conditions attached to your stay, i.e. the period you are allowed to remain and the restrictions on taking up employment. For instance you usually have to update your visa shortly after your arrival. If you are in any doubt, please present your passport to the college and ask for assistance. AccommodationUnless you have already made arrangements for permanent accommodation you should ideally plan your travel so as to arrive in Ireland one or two weeks before the commencement date of your course. Depending on the arrangements made when applying for your visa may already have accommodation arranged. If not Infinity Business College staff can assist you in finding suitable accommodation in the vicinity of the college. We advise you to contact IBC in advance during normal office hours on a weekday (between 9.30am to 5.00pm) should you require assistance. Part-time EmploymentAlthough part-time employment may be secured in Dublin, students should not rely on this source of income to maintain themselves. Arrangements should be made to have sufficient funds remitted for a full years expenses. All of the courses offered by Infinity Business College are listed on the Irish Department of Education’s Internationalisation register. As such students are permitted to work 20 hours a week on a part-time basis during the Academic year. During normal college academic holidays students are permitted to work on a full-time basis. Student Visa GuidelinesSTUDENT VISA APPLICATION
The following are a list of some things you need to prepare to gain a visa to study in Ireland. This information is intended as a guideline only.1. Valid PassportThere should be no less than 6 months validity on the passport from the date of the completion of the course. If available, copies of previous passports exhibiting the immigration history of the applicant should be provided. All pages, not just those with valid visas must be included. 2. Evidence of CourseThe Letter of Acceptance must be the original letter, indicating that the person has been accepted on a full-time course of education entailing at least 15 hours or more of study. Provisional letters offering a place are not acceptable for a visa application. 3. FeesEvidence must be supplied that the course fees have been paid in full for one academic year. Evidence in the form of a college receipt or bank statement showing the transfer of funds to the College bank account is required for the purposes of a visa application. 4. Private Medical InsuranceEvery student should have full private medical insurance. The Letter of Acceptance from Infinity Business College will contain details of the insurance cover taken out on behalf of each student. 5. Family MembersApplicants must disclose details of family members who are already residing in Ireland or in other EU countries. For this purpose family members include first cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews or grandparents. 6. Applicant's Self-sufficiencyStudents should be able to demonstrate that they have immediate access to at least Euro10,000. This is the estimated cost of living in Ireland for one academic year excluding tuition fees. Bank statements should clearly identify the account holder and show the bank in which the account is held. If relevant a notarised translation should be included with details of approximate conversion rates. 7. Applicant's SponsorStudents should be able to demonstrate that they have access to an amount of at least Euro10,000 for each subsequent year of study in Ireland, in addition to course fees for each of those years. Otherwise evidence must be shown that students have a sponsor that will provide financial support over the proposed period of study in Ireland. 8. Applicants ProfileThe applicant's educational profile should match the course of studies proposed. Information regarding checks/interviews of the candidate which have been undertaken by the college or its agents will be submitted in support of the application. The applicant's prospects of obtaining a visa are enhanced by the submission of verified details of their profile, including family background, study history, etc. Any gaps in the applicants’ educational history must be fully explained and accounted. 9. Employment details of applicant in Country of originIf the applicant is in employment the employer should state the individual responsible for the relevant course costs. If the employee is not meeting the costs, the employer should give an opinion as to the ability of the employee or their sponsor to meet all such costs. Other details include:
10. Level of EnglishIf you are enrolling on a business course you are expected to have evidence that your level of English is of an adequate standard. An IELTS of at least 6.0 (or equivalent in TOEFL) is required. Alternatively if a students’ English is not of sufficient standard a number of months of English tuition followed by a business course is an option. |
